We store your whiskey and spirits in a temperature controlled, 24 hour security monitored facility. We are fully insured and highly experienced in the various nuances of storing these valuable collections.
As Irish Whiskey Auctions we stored bottles for a small number of clients, whose numbers have now exponentially increased and we are best placed to solve the storage issues of our many clients, new and existing.

Rates
Upon acceptance into our stores all items are documented and provided with a unique Storage ID Number. Rates are controlled by calculated by adding the storage space rate to the insurance rate. Any additional numbers and rates can be calculated on contact with our offices. Storage units are calculated using a standard 70cl bottle without large presentation box as the standard. Larger bottles or display boxes are calculated as multiples of this

Storage Tips
Store your bottles of whiskey upright
Keeping the corks in optimum condition is key when high strength alcohol such as whiskey is involved.
Degradation of corks can lead to drying out and transference of unpleasant flavours into the liquid. Gently upend your bottles a couple of times a year to prevent oxidation.
Restore them to the upright position.
Keep it dark
Keeping light exposure to a minimum in your storage area, prevents ill effects such as evaporation, the loss of delicate flavour notes and colour changes in the liquid.
Keep your collection cool
Store your whiskey at a temperature of between 15-20 degrees Celsius.
Not too hot, not too cold. An important note-ideal whiskey storage temperatures are at the higher end of the ideal wine storing temperatures, so it may not be prudent to store these together.
Consistency in Temperatures and Humidity
The expansion and contraction of whiskey in fluctuating temperatures and humidity may cause the liquid to destabilise. Excess humidity causes damage to labels and may degrade the cork.
Here at the Whiskey Hub storage facility we have climate controlled storage with control notifications when temperature/humidity shifts.
Protecting the Bottle and Label
Avoid ripping or scuffing of your bottle or labels by always storing your whiskey in it's original boxing, with outer packaging and cases intact.
Extra bubble wrap or non-toxic tissue paper over labels can help preservation.
Never use cellotape or glue products.
